In this excerpt from her new book, middle-school teacher Heather Wolpert-Gawron shares a series of activities she uses to help students learn from their multiple-choice test results. Wolpert-Gawron writes that she keeps an assessment folder for each student, which includes the original test, the answer key, reflection questions and a short answer packet that asks students to evaluate why they missed particular questions. Students also keep a record of their goals and visually graph testing data in the folders.
