NASCAR worked with Roush CleanTech to test two propane-autogas-fueled safety vehicles at last month's Daytona 500 race. The pilot project saw two Ford F-250 propane pickups added to the organizers' 60-strong safety fleet. "NASCAR is looking at that as a viable alternative because it's domestic, it's clean, it's abundant, and it's less expensive than gasoline," says Joe Thompson, president of Roush CleanTech.
