A team of researchers from the University of Hartford has discovered the ruins of a community in the area around Cadiz, Spain, that it says could be the long-lost city of Atlantis. Following two years of surveying using digital-mapping and radar technology, the team discovered the outline of a city that resembles the fabled land described by Plato, as well as a series of what this article terms Atlantis-like "memorial cities" nearby. The researchers speculate that the original site was wiped out in a tsunami thousands of years ago.
