Curiosity can be your worst enemy, writes Steve Tobak. Ask the wrong question during negotiations and you tip your hand to your adversary; ask clients the wrong questions and you risk losing them; and ask employees the wrong questions and you risk alienating them or eroding your authority. "Questions are not benign. Nothing can be further from the truth. ... Don't ask unless you're ready for answers," Tobak warns.
