An American Heart Association scientific statement says people can reduce their triglyceride levels by up to 50% by eating fewer saturated fats, losing weight and exercising. Authors of the statement, published in the journal Circulation, said triglyceride levels are very responsive to lifestyle changes, and they recommended that people limit sugar, trans fat, alcohol and fructose in their diets.
