The American Chemistry Council has filed comments regarding the Environmental Protection Agency's proposed consideration of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder in assessing children's health and the draft report's focus on chemicals. "Although there is literature discussing a potential relationship between chemical exposure and [ADHD] in children ... implying that environmental contaminant exposure is an independent risk factor for development of ADHD is misleading and not consistent with the weight-of-the-evidence on this topic," ACC wrote in comments submitted to the EPA.
