AT&T has chosen five markets for introducing its Long-Term Evolution service this summer, saying Wednesday that it plans initial launches in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Atlanta and Chicago, with 10 more cities by year-end for a total of 70 million people. By comparison, Verizon Wireless is installing LTE in 38 markets and 60 airports. AT&T said the speed of its HSPA+ network would enable it to introduce LTE on a more gradual basis.
