General Electric's ability to build a large amount of wind turbines has allowed it to capture the biggest share, about 22%, of Brazil's wind-turbine market, said Marcelo Prado, the company's director of marketing for Latin America. Argentina-based Industrias Metalurgicas Pescarmona comes second with 20% of the market, followed by Wobben Windpower with 14%, according to figures from Bloomberg New Energy Finance. GE might increase its wind-turbine manufacturing capacity in Brazil, depending on the number of new orders, Prado said.
