Some 10% of patients already fail to fill new prescriptions for oral cancer treatments, according to a study by Avalere Health and The West Clinic, and higher drug costs could lead to higher prescription abandonment rates. The study authors suggest that policymakers find ways to minimize out-of-pocket costs for low-income patients.
