About 1 in 4 homes with TV service will subscribe to triple-play services within the next five years, compared with 7.1% last year, according to projections from Digital TV Research. The Asia-Pacific region will make up almost 6 in 10 of the 387 million triple-play subscribers expected by 2016, compared with 35% last year, with China accounting for 44% of all triple-play customers in 2016. The U.S. is expected to add 24 million triple-play subscribers, India is on track for 18 million more, and Russia will have an additional 13 million during the same period, Digital TV Research predicts.
