The consistent increase in research and development funding for potential malaria drugs has made the product pipeline the strongest in history, according to a report from the nonprofit research group Policy Cures. The pipeline includes about 50 treatments in development and numerous experimental vaccines. "This robust product pipeline gives us hope that eradication of malaria is possible," said Awa Marie Coll-Seck, executive director of Roll Back Malaria, which commissioned the report.
