A pair of salmonella outbreaks have sickened 92 people across 20 states, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention officials reported the outbreaks have been linked to chicks and ducklings purchased for backyard farms from a mail-order hatchery in Ohio. CDC veterinary epidemiologist Casey Barton Behravesh said the outbreak traces back to February and is ongoing.
