When it comes to choosing mobile-video applications, it turns out that most smartphone owners look to their friends for advice. A survey of about 1,500 smartphone owners conducted by Nielsen and the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing found that 65% of respondents said they consider word of mouth a primary source of information on video apps. The report also determined that just because consumers are viewing more content on the move, it doesn't mean they are watching less television, with 85% saying they watch just as much, if not more, than before.
