Germany's Nordex, which posted a loss of $3.1 million for the second quarter, is negotiating a partnership deal that would allow it to tap the Chinese wind-energy market, according to CEO Thomas Richterich. Nordex is also on the lookout for partners to build offshore wind farms in Europe, Richterich said. "Nordex would benefit from outside partners. In China, it's difficult to succeed as an outsider, and in offshore, where Nordex is a bit late to the game, a partner would help to create critical mass to be cost-effective," said Michael Tappeiner, an analyst for UniCredit Bank.
