Infants whose mothers used nicotine-laden snuff while pregnant were more likely than those born to mothers who smoked cigarettes and twice as likely as those whose mothers didn't use any tobacco products to develop apnea, a Swedish study in Pediatrics revealed. Researchers found that even full-term babies whose mothers used snuff during pregnancy were more likely to suffer apnea.
