A survey conducted by Sage Healthcare Division and Forester revealed that U.S. doctors who have adopted electronic health record systems and those who haven't differ in their perceptions of the technology; 64% of EHR users ascribe the technology's value to patient outcomes, while 74% of nonusers place more value on higher revenue. The survey also found that 64% of EHR users view meaningful use as a key driver in implementing the technology, while 32% of nonusers cited lack of capital as a primary barrier.
