With U.S. travel growing at a slow pace, American travel sellers can capitalize on emerging markets such as China, Brazil, Russia and India, as most of these countries lack an established network of travel agents. But expanding overseas is not easy. "The hunger for people to grow their business internationally is met with a tremendous number of challenges, whether they are legal or operational," said Jeff Anderson, vice president for marketing of Avoya Travel, a travel agency that sells in multiple countries.
