Amazon is betting on the new Kindle Fire's rich cache of available content and $199 price tag to quickly position the tablet as a rival to Apple's iPad and Barnes & Noble's Nook. The color device, which goes on sale in November, will include access to Amazon's warehouse of digital books, music and movies, as well as a virtual newsstand with magazine titles including Wired, Vanity Fair and Cosmopolitan. Amazon also said Wednesday that brick-and-mortar retailers Best Buy and Staples would sell the new gadget.
