U.S. wind turbine production will likely decline in 2013 if Congress fails to extend the 2.2-cents-per-kilowatt-hour production tax credit by this fall, according to Rob Gramlich, senior vice president of public policy for the American Wind Energy Association. Congress should make its decision on the tax credit this fall because that's when manufacturers usually make their hiring and production plans for 2013, Gramlich said.
