The long-awaited Boeing 787 was delivered on Sunday to its first customer, Japan's Nippon Airways. The carrier, dubbed the Dreamliner, is the first airliner to be covered with a skin of carbon fiber -- a stronger and lighter material than the usual aluminum. The carbon fiber skin helps make the airliner 20% more fuel efficient than the planes it is meant to replace, and allows for larger windows and more normalized pressure and humidity in the cabin.
