The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District in California is giving away incentives to help fleet operators and public agencies convert their vehicles to propane autogas, electric, hybrid and compressed natural gas. "This year we got $200 million in incentive funding to give away in the district," said Aaron Tarango, the district's grant programs supervisor. The San Joaquin Valley Clean Cities Coalition organized a meeting last week to educate prospective stakeholders about the benefits of using alternative fuels and inform them about available grants for those who will make the switch.
