Campuses across the country are serving a rising number of students from overseas. About 690,000 international students attended U.S. colleges in 2009-10, a 26% increase from 10 years ago. The trend has provided U.S. schools with top-flight students, as well as a financial boost because the students pay full out-of-state tuition and aren't eligible for financial aid. The largest number of students are from China, India and South Korea.
