The International Atomic Energy Agency cleared a program to boost nuclear safety worldwide in the aftermath of the Fukushima Daiichi incident in Japan. The plan contains a number of voluntary measures designed to avert future incidents. "It contains concrete and achievable actions to make nuclear safety post-Fukushima more robust and effective than before," said Yukiya Amano, IAEA's director general.
