LivingSocial is selling ads for Amazon's new deal service, Amazon Local, in what appears to be a developing partnership in competition with daily-deals leader Groupon. The combination comes after a $175 million investment by Amazon in the No. 2 deals site last year. "We are pleased with the relationship and looking forward to continuing to roll out their product across the country," LivingSocial spokesman Andrew Weinstein said of Amazon.
