A service being marketed by MediaMall Technologies will, for the first time, enable consumers who watch television shows online or via a mobile device to record content for later viewing. PlayLater is a TiVo-like DVR service designed specifically for online video that records content directly onto a device or computer for future offline access. The service -- which will cost $4.99 a month -- is limited to Windows-based systems, but the company may expand it to work with Apple devices.
