Patients using tumor necrosis factor inhibitors to treat rheumatoid arthritis appear to be at higher risk
of skin cancer, including melanoma, than those who don't use the drugs, according to a systematic review and meta-analysis in the Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases. However, TNF blockers do not seem to increase the risk of other cancer types, particularly lymphoma, researchers said.
