Some anti-ethanol groups and individuals are targeting the ethanol provisions under the Renewable Fuel Standard amid growing expectation that the industry's tax incentives will not be renewed by Congress, industry insiders said. "There's a lot stronger support" in Congress for the ethanol targets under RFS2 "than there was for the tax credit, but still that's not going to stop them from coming after it," said Sen. John Thune, R-S.D. "I don't see [weakening RFS2] as an avenue that Congress is going to want to go down," said Bob Dinneen, president and CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association.
