Derek Kerr, chief financial officer at US Airways, says the airline can significantly increase revenue by selling more of its "ChoiceSeats," which are more desirable seats in the front of coach. "ChoiceSeats" are available on the carrier's website, but not on tickets sold by global distribution systems. The airline industry has been moving toward charging more ancillary fees for amenities such as better seats, and Kerr says the trend will continue.
