Nearly one-third of chief financial officers say their departments are in need of employees with communication skills, according to a survey by Accountemps. About 25% are looking for employees with leadership skills. That compares with 14% who ranked technical skills among their top needs. "The ability to effectively convey a point verbally and in writing can be a key predictor of leadership potential," Accountemps Chairman Max Messmer said.
