A new curriculum in England is intended to prevent students from suffering from low self-esteem because of the images they see in magazines. The lesson plan, designed for children ages 10 and 11, will show students that photos of celebrities, including Britney Spears, are airbrushed for magazines. Materials can be downloaded by teachers, and will include a focus on teaching students about the trivial nature of physical appearance.
