The NAB is helping promote the Nov. 9 national test of the Emergency Alert System and is working to prepare its members for the exercise. The NAB has developed a checklist for stations to ensure they are prepared for the test, and to explain their roles while the test is under way and following it. Broadcasters also have collaborated with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Communications Commission to circulate radio and TV public service announcements to alert audiences to the test.
