The amount of time Americans spent watching video online in the second quarter increased 15% from a year ago, to an average of 4 hours, 26 minutes a month, according to a Nielsen quarterly report, which says traditional TV viewing also increased, by 1.9%. Nearly half, 48%, of U.S. homes watched Internet video at some point, but viewers spent four times as much time with time-shifted TV than on Web video, Nielsen reports.
