Toyota has unveiled a dashboard device, the Touch Life infotainment system, that acts as a 7-inch screen for compatible smartphones. The device mirrors a smartphone's operations, includes optional steering-wheel controls and can be used with Nokia's Symbian Belle devices -- thanks to the Car Connectivity Consortium's MirrorLink -- and Apple's iPhone, after installing Application Launcher. The device is available in Europe in the carmaker's Avensis, Prius and Verso models.
