AT&T is pushing to expand the market for technology it helped introduce this year that embeds wireless sensors in clothing to monitor a patient's vital signs, says Glenn Lurie, leader of the carrier's emerging-devices division, who pointed to senior citizens as a prime market for the sensors. He said "the stars have aligned" for "connected clothing" products because of the increase in Wi-Fi and wireless networks. "When you look at the percentage of Americans who are aging and the number who fall into that category every day, it's going to be a very big marketplace to deliver products and services to make their lives better," Lurie said.
