Florida International University now provides students with developmental disabilities the opportunity to enroll in college courses. The Panther Life Project puts young adults in one class per semester and pairs them up with two student mentors to help them adjust to life on campus. "It's important for people to realize that an intellectual disability does not limit you from so many other things that you can do in your life," said Liliana Demoya, who helped start the program.
