Google has created the AdWords Premier SMB Partner program to help small businesses become active in paid search by connecting with experienced vendors who can provide guidance. To qualify for the program, vendors have to meet requirements such as having a client base made up of small and midsize businesses and a willingness to offer customer service through telephone calls or e-mail messages. "Ensuring that business owners will be able to get their vendor on the phone or through email does a lot to curb fears and let small business owners know that they won't be left on their own to figure things out," writes Lisa Barone of Outspoken Media.
