Geolocation data can be a boon to businesses but can also pose real dangers if the information falls into the hands of criminals, according to this article. Companies should implement safeguards and have a risk-management policy in place, a report from ISACA advises. Geolocation information "directly impacts individuals' and enterprises' privacy and confidentiality, and the consequences of poor governance over geolocation can be severe," said ISACA's Ramsés Gallego.
