A FairWarning survey of more than 1,000 U.K. patients found that 87.1% of respondents say they believe hospital executives who fail to address health data breaches should be held accountable and 73.3% consider better implementation of privacy rules the key to reducing breaches. Still, 75.5% of respondents said they view EMRs as a vital tool for doctors to exchange and update patient data.
