Montana's rural Saco School District, which has 52 students enrolled in grades K to 12, has developed a one-to-one laptop program for students in grades 4 to 12, and is using iPad tablets in the classroom for students beginning in kindergarten. Educators say the goal of the program is to enhance learning and teach students technology and digital-responsibility skills. "Our schools have been almost technology fearful," superintendent Gordon Hahn said of rural schools. "It's time to let them tap into these resources."
