People who eat a lot of red meat have a 19% higher risk of developing kidney cancer than those who eat less red meat, according to a study by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. The report states that chemicals from cooking the food are attributed to the disease. Still, consumers shouldn't stop eating red meat because of its link to cancer, says Dr. Mohammed El-Faramawi, but should eat it in limited quantities.
