Two documented worker miscues at a nuclear power plant in Vermont have sparked criticism from nuclear-safety advocates, who say aging personnel and poor communication between maintenance team leaders and technicians is threatening the plant's safety. "Employees are repeatedly having similar, if not identical, Homer Simpson moments," said Ray Shadis, technical consultant for the New England Coalition. Neither of the documented miscues created an immediate threat to the plant, according to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
