The overall average annual incomes in 2004 were $8,666 less for obese women and $4,772 less for obese men than for their normal-weight peers, according to an analysis of data from the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth. Researchers also found that the annual earnings of obese women in 2008 were 15% less than those of their normal-weight counterparts.
