A survey of baby boomers close to retirement found that, on average, they have pushed back plans to retire from age 60 to age 66, and that a majority of them plan to work during retirement. The Allstate-National Journal Heartland Monitor Poll also found that nearly 70% of retirees depend on Social Security as a significant portion of their income.
