A study in Circulation found that people with high blood pressure by age 55 have a higher lifetime risk of heart disease or stroke compared to people with normal blood pressure at that age. The risk for stroke and heart disease was lowest for people with blood pressure of less than 120 over 80, and highest for those with blood pressure of more than 140 over 90, findings showed.
