The business-travel segment should expect steady growth in 2012 as it emerges from an unexpectedly strong 2011, the Global Business Travel Association reports in its
Business Travel Quarterly Outlook for the U.S. The association predicts growth in business travel to outpace a projected 2.3% growth in gross domestic product amid moderate economic recovery. Business-travel spending will rise 4.6% this year, alongside a predicted 2.4% increase in the number of U.S.-initiated international business trips, the association reports.
