Work on the new Mississippi River bridge in St. Louis progressed when 10 truckloads of concrete were added at the bridge's towers. The bridge itself has a $229 million budget, but the entire project costs an estimated $700 million, which covers work to relocate interchanges on both the Illinois and Missouri sides of the river. The new bridge will be America's third-longest cable-stayed bridge when completed.
