Architectural firm Goody Clancy, headquartered in Boston, worked with the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C., to design two new research buildings. The idea was to create the buildings in keeping with the campus and the historic neighborhood in which it was located. The architects decided on a pairing of precast concrete and red brick, with bays of windows. The buildings were constructed with LEED silver in mind.
