Some schools in the U.S. are establishing virtual education partnerships with China to help students better compete in the global marketplace. At one international school in Michigan, students learn online with their peers in China and have the opportunity to study in China, where online learning has been slow to catch on. "Traditionally, in China, the instructional method is really teacher-centered," said Zhijian Fang, principal of a school in Beijing.
