Airport lounges are enjoying a renaissance as airlines work harder to attract fliers. Plush interiors, comfortable armchairs, top-shelf liquors and gourmet foods are all part of the appeal. "Airlines understand that in order to service high-yield, first- and business-class clients they need to offer a complete airport-to-airport experience, not only in the air but also on the ground," said Peter Vlitas, a senior vice president at travel-management company Protravel International.
