Business-to-business mobile-application development is becoming more popular as enterprise-focused companies see the benefits of mobile for their space. While 45% of companies in the U.S. and U.K said they are developing consumer-facing websites optimized for mobile use, 43% are developing apps for their customers and 42% are making apps for employees, according to Antenna Software's survey. "Investment in mobile is growing at a meteoric rate, and that's partly due to companies thinking beyond the app and beyond the idea that mobile is only critical when it comes to consumer engagement," said Antenna CEO Jim Hemmer.
